This sensitivity is rooted in the brain\u2019s unique wiring. Understanding it reduces shame and self-blame instantly.<\/p><p style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><strong>Emotional hypersensitivity<\/strong><\/p><p style=\"font-weight: 400;\">People with ADHD symptoms feel emotions more intensely and for longer. Because the executive functions involved in self-regulation are more challenged, emotional reactions naturally feel stronger.<\/p><p style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><strong>\u00a0<\/strong><strong>Why rejection hurts more<\/strong><\/p><ul><li><em><strong>Immediate physical reaction<\/strong><\/em>: The nervous system activates suddenly and intensely.<\/li><li><em><strong>Amplified rumination<\/strong><\/em>: The ADHD brain seeks dopamine, and rumination can become a form of internal stimulation.<\/li><li><em><strong>Natural difficulty with self-regulation<\/strong><\/em>: The core challenge is difficulty returning to calm.<\/li><\/ul><p style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><strong>\u00a0<\/strong><strong>The weight of accumulated micro-rejections<\/strong><\/p><p style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Comments, labels, criticism, bullying\u2026 These micro-rejections accumulate over the years and can easily reactivate in adulthood, intensifying the emotional wound.<\/p><p style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><strong>\u00a0<\/strong><strong>Tools that soothe and transform<\/strong><\/p><p style=\"font-weight: 400;\">In my work, I tailor all approaches to each person\u2019s needs: heart coherence, mindfulness meditation, Nonviolent Communication, executive function psychoeducation, identity and values exploration, strengths, and saboteur awareness. Every journey is personalized.<\/p><p style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><strong>\u00a0<\/strong><strong>Conclusion<\/strong><\/p><p style=\"font-weight: 400;\">With the right tools, the wound of rejection can lose its power. In my practice, I integrate whatever approach is needed based on each client\u2019s profile. This personalized, compassionate, and structured method supports deep clarity, emotional stability, inner calm, and confidence. Sensitivity becomes a strength.
