Principles Specifically Oriented towards ADHD Clients

As an experienced and certified coach in both ADHD and non-ADHD coaching, my commitment is to support you so that you can achieve the goals for which you have come to me for assistance. Together, we will create and work in a safe, warm, confidential and motivating environment; yet you remain as the expert in your life. My job is to respect your rhythm and be with you as long as you need my support. I have lived in different corners of the world and have successfully coached people of different ages and cultures with and without ADHD.

What can I do for you as a MCAC Coach (Master Certified ADHD Coach)

As a trained and experienced coach who met the highest standards of ADHD coaching, certified by PAAC (Professional Association for ADHD Coaches) and trained by the ADD Coach Academy (ADDCA), I can help you by creating a safe and confidential space to thrive with your ADHD. Together we will dig and find ways to handle the responsibilities and activities made harder by your ADHD symptoms. I will coach you towards purpose, possibilities and choices that fit with your strengths. We will focus on practical ways to deal with everyday tasks that might be tougher because of your brain wiring.

In ADHD coaching, although we pay attention to the ICF code of ethics and the 11 core competency skills (SEE Let’s Talk Tab), the ADHD coach works differently because of his specific training to address the needs of the clients since ADHD brains process information differently from neurotypical ones (non-ADHD).

How do I Work

Our first session is dedicated to discover how ADHD manifests itself in your day-to-day life and together we will decide where we want to put our main focus in order for you to thrive with your ADHD. In coaching words: we define our big agenda.

I will explain to you the model below which I use in the process of ADHD coaching, define our coaching agreement and contract. A few days later you will receive a copy of our contract and some documentation to complete for the following session.

The following sessions, because life continue to unfold on its own rhythm, we will address the challenges happening in your life while keeping in mind our big agenda.

ADDERs easily forget their wins and strengths and focus on their struggles which affect negatively their performance and self esteem. We will work together to dig up your strengths and use them as a compass to take us towards thriving with your ADHD.

 

In summary, during our ADHD coaching sessions, I use methods such as goal setting, prioritizing, planning and scheduling, problem solving, stress management tools, homework and activities to complete for the following sessions. I will ensure that you are always steering toward fulfilment and balance and are able to engage in the process of the changes you want to make happens in your life.

Together, we will create a safe space to tackle these challenges, mindful of the added difficulties manifesting from your ADHD disorder. Certification by the PAAC (Professional Association for ADHD Coaches) and training by the ADD Coach Academy (ADDCA), has given me the tools to help you.
